Shawn Franklin is an Air Force Veteran and devoted son, brother, husband, father and friend. In February of 2023, just a few days following his 43rd birthday, he was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. Given his known family history with cardiovascular illness, Shawn falling ill in this way has been especially traumatic to all those who love him. With collective prayer and ultimate generosity from a donor family, Shawn received a new heart on May 28, 2023 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Shawn had a successful procedure and continues to progress very well to the amazement of his medical team.
